I am so excited to announce Sew With Me, my collaboration with Sew News Magazine! Sew With Me is a new series from Sew News where designers create exclusive patterns and videos for them to sell through their site. I designed four garment patterns and I hope you all love them as much as I do!
A bit of the backstory: about a year ago, Ellen March, the editor of Sew News Magazine, asked me if I wanted to design some patterns exclusively for the magazine under their new project called Sew With Me. Of course I said yes! I am so excited to finally show you the patterns and tell you all about this project.
There are four patterns–the Departure Shift, the Anya Skirt, the East Side Tunic, and the Josie Sundress–all soon to be available as PDF downloads through the Sew News website. They have been formally announced in the newest issue of Sew News, but they aren’t quite ready to purchase yet. Soon! Very very soon! I am a bit behind on things due to the recent turn of events in my personal life. So please forgive me on that. But soon, you can buy these and I will share the link when they’re up and available.
In addition to the patterns, I flew to Colorado and shot a 30-minute video for each garment, where I walk you through some of the harder elements of each pattern. You will have the option to buy the videos along with the patterns, or just the patterns as stand alone items.
The patterns will not be available in print form, but the PDF patterns are exactly like my regular PDF patterns–clear illustrated step by step instructions and fully graded patterns from sizes 0–18.
Over the next four days, I will go over each of the four patterns in detail and discuss their origin, inspiration, design elements, and more. So stay tuned for each of those, starting tomorrow with the Josie Sundress.
Huge thanks to Alexia Abegg and the lovely ladies at Cotton + Steel Fabrics for supplying all the fabric for this project! The set looked amazing thanks to all your amazing prints.
And thanks to all of you for the support you all have shown me of late. I am completely blown away that cards, messages of love and hope, and gifts still are arriving at my door everyday. I am doing pretty well considering, and I can attribute some of my sanity to the outpouring of love from all of you! Thank you!
