I know we're in the throws of the Emery Dress Sew-Along, but no matter what else is going on, I'm still always thinking about my next travel adventure. My man and I have set our dates for our spring 2014 trip and we've decided to visit the wonderful region of Champagne, just to the east of Paris.
I know this might sound stupid obvious, but somehow I've only recently discovered how much I love champagne. I know, I know... I can hear the collective, "well duh Christine!" But honestly, I've always been a red wine girl, but the last few years my wine drinking has slowed down quite a lot, mostly because it doesn't settle with me as well as it used to. (thanks aging!)
On our trip earlier this year to Paris, I had my first Kir Royal, and that was it. Since then, I've had champagne more than any other booze, and boy howdy, is that some good shit.
We discovered that a local wine shop in LA has splits of many of the champagne houses and we're going to spend the next few months trying them all in preparation for our visit... you know, for science! Oh, and speaking of science, do you know how champagne is made? Me neither! But then I watched this...
