Sarai and her lovely team at Colette Patterns are posing another palette challenge! Usually when you think spring, you think pinks, whites, light colors, and pastels. But this spring, I'm completely going in the opposite direction. As I'll be spending 5 weeks of my spring in France this year, I'm sticking to a palette of simple basics and neutrals. I'm only taking a very small carry on bag for the trip so I have to be very selective of what I pack and it all has to go together. I've also declared that aside from my bathing suit, I'm making my whole wardrobe, which is underway as I'm leaving in just over a month!
I've decided to take the following items on the trip: 5 dresses (3 short sleeved, 1 sleeveless, and a 3/4 sleeve), a beige trench coat, 2 cardigans, 1 nightie, 1 bathing suit, 1 pair of flats, 1 pair of boots, and a pair of sandals, plus underthings. All the items are made or purchased except for a couple: the jacket is half done, and this girl needs a new pair of sandals! I'm looking at you Hasbeens!
