Because I was busy teaching, I didn't take a lot of photos during the sewing process of the Ellsworth Coat class at Camp Workroom Social, but luckily we did take two great group photos after the class was over- one with our coats closed up pictured above (in color order of course), and one below showing off our linings!
Some of the students have started posting their coats to Instagram, and those are below. I was so proud of all my students. They nearly all finished making up the whole coat in a weekend! That's no small task, especially when there are 15 of them sewing, sharing resources and irons. But they did an incredible job and it was an absolute pleasure to work with each of them.
One of the best parts of the class was that each camper brought their own fabric, so we had everything from drapey linen, to denim, to fancy black jacquard! And the linings went from the standard solid polyester, to Cotton + Steel rayon, vintage-looking jacquard polyester, and beyond. Almost all 10 sizes were represented throughout the 15 students as well, making the combination of fabrics and sizes the most incredible range of my patterns I've ever seen in one setting.
Great job ladies!
