Emery by the Testers–Marrie of Purls and Pleats

The lovely Marrie not only read my mind with her version, making a sleeveless variation that I'm going to show you in the sew-along, but she unknowingly made up her version in fabric similar to the original inspiration dress! Lord knows I love gingham!

I love her version because it shows the versatility of the pattern. It can be done completely stripped down of its elements – sleeves, collar, and bow – and still be perfectly timeless and chic. It will be great for summer heat and fall layering. Marrie wrote up a lovely post on her blog and included some detailed photos of the meticulously sewn inside and the pocket sewing. Pop on over there to see how nice the inside looks!

I also secretly love her muslin version, as she did all of the previously mentioned elements and somehow it looks wonderfully chic in muslin!

Thanks Marrie for being a great tester and for writing up such a nice review of the experience!
