Quiltbombing, Craftcation, Classes, and More!

Hi everyone! Apologies for the serious lack of posts lately. I am in the final two weeks of my book deadline and am beyond overwhelmed with all that is still to do. It will continue to be quiet here over the next couple of weeks, so my apologies in advance!

I have been super busy despite the silence. As you might have heard there was some quilt bombing done at Sew L.A.'s recent Bearding Ladies Quilt Meeting! It was an absolute blast! The tree was measured, blocks were made, black ninja clothing was worn, and a tree got itself quilt bombed! I made my block with all fabrics of flowers and birds to celebrate our tree, which just happens to be blossoming at the moment! We also ironed on little transfers of our logo to drum up some mystery as to who might be behind the bombing. Join us at the next meeting, each month on the third Monday of the month from 6:30-8pm at Sew L.A.

I was lucky enough to attend the Craftcation Conference again, time time for a full Saturday of teaching. This conference has an energy that is unmatched! I showed up Saturday morning and the attendees were so amped! I had two classes of the most energetic and fun ladies. We made café aprons and quick elastic waisted skirts. They were a blast and I can't wait to return next year, this time for longer than one day.

I am starting my spring classes tonight with a sold out class for the brilliant Tiny Pocket Tank from Grainline Studio. Want to come to the next session? Check it out here! I also wrapped up my last Painted Portrait Dress class a couple of weeks ago with the loveliest students.

And if you read the Craftsy blog, you have seen a few of my posts going up! I have no control over the posting schedule, so when they go up it's a surprise to me too! To see them all rounded up in one spot, visit my Craftsy blog page.

I want to promise loads of deep and interesting blog posts, but right now it will continue to be quiet around these parts. I'm occasionally posting photos of the bags under my eyes on my Instagram account, so if you are curious to see those or to know just how messy my studio is due to the book photo shoots, find me at @christinehaynes :)
