Recent Sewing Developments

Things are a bit quiet here on the blog, but are still very active in my studio! I recently made our Sew L.A. leader Shaerie a stuffed bear for her baby shower. I used my pal Jenny Ryan's pattern and a combination of Jay McCarrol and Japanese fabrics, which Shaerie loves. It's a bit happy, and a bit demonic, perfect for Shaerie's unborn child!

I also made up a Hazel Dress from Colette Patterns for their party at Sew L.A. earlier in the month. Kenn took some great photos and they are up on the Colette blog today. The shot below of me and Shaerie (wearing a modified Violet Blouse) is from Kenn. I used some old Denyse Schmidt fabric from my stash and love it!

And yesterday in the mail, I received my gorgeous Deer & Doe pattern for their Veste Pavot! The pattern looks great and I started translating it last night. I am going to try to hold off on making it for a bit while I wrap up some other obligations, but I can already feel myself mentally planning multiple versions! One change I plan is to line it, but otherwise it's pretty much my ideal coat!
