Ruby's Derby Dress

One of the best aspects of my job at Sew L.A. is getting to know the students. I'm so happy that many have become friends as we have such an awesome and diverse group of ladies (and gents) that come into the store regularly.

The lovely Ruby is one of Sew L.A.'s sewing success stories. In a short time, she went from a beginner to an advanced seamstress, making the difficult 1950's dress, and drafting her own patterns. I was flattered to see that also on her list of projects was my Derby Dress! She kindly emailed me these photos and as usual, I love her choices. She picked a super fun lawn print from Alexander Henry and made view 2 with the ruffle at the neck.

Thanks Ruby for sharing these and I can't wait to see what you make next!
